The readiness to give up that which is most precious (or close enough, anyway) to you, just like Abraham. Thought that was pretty profound. To not forcibly cut communication lines so you can each move on with life, but to keep the correspondence as friends and be willing to offer it all to the Lord, no matter what the outcome.
Granted, it might make more sense to 'cool it', to allow the silence and distance to help you see things with cool reason...but to be able to have faith as such, to NOT keep a distance..it astounds me.
I have much to learn.
