As much as I hate to admit it, I am hooked. Hooked, with a capital H. Vampire Diaries has become my latest obsession. I really did not expect much from the show at the very start. I mean, think typical Twilight Vampire love story stretched over a few series? Lameee. The only reason I started watching it in the first place was because Hannah and I were bored out of our minds in Hobart while on placement - but I must say that the show is becoming more and more interesting with every passing episode. Nothing at all like Twilight! :)
Couple of reasons why I love the show:
...Soundtracks by Lifehouse. I am the sort to pay attention to the music that TV shows play in the background.. (That's why I love One Tree Hill, awesome soundtracks!) So, hearing 'It Is What It Is', one of my favourite songs by Lifehouse (you guessed it, one of my favourite bands!) scores a thumbs up from me!
....Ian Somerhalder as Damon Salvatore - Forget his evil gut, forget his insatiable appetite for causing trouble, forget his 'diabolical master plans'. Damon Salvatore - so amazingly good-looking that every time he smiles/smirks I forget he's supposed to be the bad guy.
So yeah, something for me to do (besides studying) while my parents and the boyfriend are away. Plan for study break: Work, Study, VD/OTH, Study. Repeat cycle. :) Enjoying the freedom of having the house to ourselves (meaning me and sibs). In fact, had the girls over last night and today for a sleepover, drinks, games and Anzac cookie baking *nyumnyum*. My parents will be pleased to know that the house isn't trashed, everything's still spick-and-span, laundry's all done, and we've been eating balanced meals i.e. greens in every meal.
And as much as I am glad my darling is enjoying Korea, I can't wait till he gets back! Not long to go! :) But for now...Vampire Diaries, here I come. :)
