Loving Your Enemies

"We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies."
-Martin Luther King, JR-

An epiphany! I have come up with the perfect solution to loving difficult people.

Think about the ONE GOOD QUALITY they have. Juuuuust one.

It doesn't matter that they have a thousand other bad qualities. It doesn't matter that they've wronged you in the past. It doesn't matter that you've tried again and again to forgive them, but seem to have failed. It doesn't matter that the sight of them makes you spin a 180 degrees on the spot and start walking in the other direction.

Just think of that one. good. thing.

And hang on as hard as you can to it.

...now to see if this actually works. :)
