in an attempt to debride my own callouses today i accidentally jabbed myself twice with the scalpel without realizing anything.
...until two scarlet spots appeared and enlarged in a matter of seconds.
now i have my big toe wrapped in band-aid.
*sigh*
it wasn't epic, but it was a sure fail. =[
on a happier note, 2 pod friends and i excellently modified a pair of orthothics for our patient today. actually it wasn't anything difficult at all..it was just sticking another pad onto the orthotics, but to understand why we were like 'YESSS!!' after my lecturer had taken a look at them and said 'Perfect, good job guys,' you have to first understand that usually, out of the 10 questions our lecturer drills us with everytime he sees us, we only answer 1 at the most. 2, on a good day. Yes, he makes us feel like we don't know anything. so there was our moment of indulging in self-accomplishment. WE FINALLY KNOW HOW TO DO SOMETHING! ..sticking item A onto item B. xD
we had fun with our names during lunchtime today. Johnny means 'gentleman', Brenda means 'sword', Albert means 'noble; bright; famous', Melissa means 'honeybee', Esther means 'star'.
Kim started a little speech on her own which went something like this :
"Actually, everybody's names are very fitting. See? Johnny's a gentleman, Albert, noble, bright. Mel.."
i interrupted her here with "How is a honeybee fitting?!"
"Coz you very happy and hardworking and....noisy la!!" (Thanks Kim. xD)
"and then..Brenda...sword...oh! she's sharp and...deadly." (LOL!)
"and Esther's a star coz..she's got two hands! and two legs! and a head! like a star la!" (..uh huh.)
"so right, so right, in conclusion...we all have very fitting names. which means, you have to bow down to me, since my name means NOBLE CHIEF. wahahahaha."
of course we rolled our eyes.
but then suddenly Esther goes, "NO WAY KIM, i'm in the sky! i'm like, much higher than you..YOU have to look up to ME!"
GG.
