At the crossroads

Gong Xi Fa Cai!

it's been a while. haven't really had the urge to blog..no, okay. i lie. but those urges always kick in at like 1 am when i'm awake lying on my bed and reflecting but my computer's on its way to turning off. so yeah. this blog has been stagnant due to my laziness to get up, mainly.

chinese new year here is nothing like back home. it's so quiet here. also, lol. i know im chinese, but i took out the garbage, washed my hair and wore a black shirt yesterday. talk about breaking tradition huh. guess we all just couldn't be bothered. any holiday for us is THE chance to rest and sleep in. and pretty much bum the day away. oh, we had yummy laksa for lunch! :) *slurp*

anyhoo. here's what's been happening in recent weeks. (i would've included photos, but my camera's gone abit wonky now..it refuses to work *sadface*)

Australia Day! went to watch the fireworks last night..it was okay. perth fireworks now just seem to look the same, but they sure are pretty. :) i wonder how they would've looked if i were sitting in the ferris wheel. (yeah, perth has a small one.) nothing like the London Eye, but i wanna sit in it, just for the sake of it. fifteen bucks, anyone with me? lol.

Chinese New Year Eve! awesome awesome dinner together with my family and relatives...delicious home-cooked food. ate heaps, became round-er, played tekken, ate summore, then we went to play sparklers in the backyard. :) nick claims to have burned a cockroach with 2 sparklers but..i dont know. i was too busy running away from it.

Welcoming Night at pastor and aunty kim's! saturday night was spent eating also really yummy food and getting to know the newbies, was also a time to catch up with the familiar ones. needless to say, it was fun :) i hope the newbies stay in imc and come to find a spiritual home there, just like the rest of us.

Pod Sleepover! together with the pod crew, we went alllllllll the way to innaloo to eat burgers (mine's called the Boogie Woogie..so cute right?) for dinner at Betty's cafe, played abit at Timezone smashing croc heads, foosball and a 3 on 3 dance revolution competition (yes, there were 6 of us stomping like mad on the dancefloor thingoes) then went over to mo's for the night. played a game that involved snatching pieces from the middle of our circle, and i got scratched in round 1. halfway thru round 2 we discovered blood on one piece, and more blood on the bedsheet, so we traced it back...back....back....to my hand. >.<>

anyway, last night i had a chat with two dear brothers and they've reminded me of the same thing. God must be telling me smth. :) so in this time of New Year, i'm just going to recommit everything to our good Lord and put myself right with Him. everything else will follow through. no more praying and praying but letting that selfish and stubborn part of me think that things will be what i want them to be. sometimes it causes me to lose sight of who i really am. im not sure if you're both gonna read this, but thank you, anyway.

so here we are, at the crossroads.
