OI OI OI! ^^
i know i know, it's a day late, but Happy Aussie Day!
the good part :
went to the foreshore in Sir James Mitchell Park.
slideshow!
i reckon this year's fireworks were better than last year's.
the bad part :
A Tribute to Heath Ledger : A Last Knight & The Patriot.
we caught The Patriot on tv after coming home. i think it's sad enough that he died in reality. but they could've picked another movie in which he didn't die in. *sigh* but i suppose it's one of his better movies. ended up sleeping past 1.00 am. those darn commercials. -_-"
the not-bad-enough? part :
we missed church today. overslept. ><
woop woop! beach on tuesday! can't wait. ^^

Port Beach, North Freo..
where we watched the sundown.
so breath-takingly beautiful.
Being able to enjoy and watch the sunset with my family, i realize just how blessed i am.
and i just really wanna thank God for that.

life?
When was the last time you spent a quiet moment just doing nothing?
just sitting and looking at the sea
watching the wind blowing the tree limbs
the waves rippling in a pond
or a flickering candle
and children playing in the park?
When was the last time you stopped to smell the flowers outside your house
lie on your back and watch the clouds sail by
throw someone a hug
or smile at a stranger?
just sitting and looking at the sea
watching the wind blowing the tree limbs
the waves rippling in a pond
or a flickering candle
and children playing in the park?

throw someone a hug
or smile at a stranger?
Because I am beginning to learn that it is the sweet simple things of life which are the real ones after all.
That the small things in life do matter.
That the small things in life do matter.

"There are moments in our lives when we find ourselves at a crossroad, afraid, confused, without a roadmap. The choices we make in those moments can define the rest of our days. Of course when faced with the unknown, most of us prefer to turn around and go back.
But once in a while people push on to something better. Something found just beyond the pain of doing it alone, and just beyond the bravery and courage it takes to let someone in. Or to give someone a second chance. Something beyond the quiet persistence of a dream.
Because it's only when you're tested that you truly discover who you are. And it's only when you're tested that you discover who you can be. The person that you want to be does exist, somewhere in the other side of hard work and faith, and belief..and beyond the heartache, and the fear of what life has."
